Initiatives

In addition to the public broadcast television show, The Law, Your Money … And You is proud to support a number of initiatives in the community.  Our current initiatives include:

Financial Literacy for High School Students campaign sign

Camille & Roberta excited to launch the Brighten Up Campaign

Brighten Up – Bringing financial literacy into the schools to provide the youth in our community a better understanding of money matters.  The Brighten Up club was formed at the high school and allows students to be involved in helping educate others on financial matters.

The Brighten Up Campaign hosted a Financial Literacy Fair at the Sharon High School in 2015 and is working with local universities to incorporate financial literacy programs into the curriculum.

This drawing is displayed in the Sharon Police Department. Chief Tilden Kaufman drew this picture when he was 6 years old with the hopes of becoming a Police Officer one day.

Police Activity Book – Showing children that the police are our friends, this activity book was created by Roberta Saphire and Zachery Cheung.  The book features many of the police officers from Sharon, MA and educates children about the town police.  A special feature on the back cover of the book is a drawing that is on display at the Sharon Police Department.  Police Chief Tilden Kaufman drew a photo of a Police car when he was 6 years old, which the hopes of becoming a police officer one day.

Sharon Chowderfest – In cooperation with the Rotary Club of Sharon, we are pleased to be hosting the first annual Chowderfest in Sharon, MA.  Sunday, May 15, 2016 – 11am – 3pm at Memorial Beach.  Bring your appetite for a fun day at beautiful Lake Massapoag.  There will be crafts for sale, live entertainment, and of course, chowder!  Visit www.sharonchowderfest.com for tickets and more information.

Live At The Library – The Law, Your Money and YOU! is available to help run an event at your local library.  We will help with developing a topic, finding speakers and setting up the event with your library and community.  A community service, there is no fee for this.  Only costs are out of pocket expenses which are controlled by you.  Contact Us for more information.
