We have exciting news! As of a few days ago, we are officially a 501(c)3 public charity! Donations to The Law, Your Money and You Inc are tax deductible. Even better, this deduction is retroactive. Any donation made to our show from February 6, 2012 is tax deductible.
We are looking forward to the New Year and are very excited about our planned future projects. We are presently working on a program to award teachers with funds to buy extra supplies for the classroom. We feel that this will be a great way to give back to the community and to lend a helping hand to those in need. We are also looking into creating a radio podcast version of the show and promoting a course to teach students about managing their money.
However, there is still more work to be done. The reality is that as we continue to expand, our costs are increasing. We are looking into the nonprofit grant application process, but in the meantime, we still need help to meet all our costs.
How You Can Help: Please consider donating to our funding goal of $8,900. Your donations will also go towards building and maintaining the website and other expenses. All contributors will be publicly thanked on our website (unless they opt not to.)
To donate, simply go to http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/235724?i=pite and click on the “Contribute Now” button. If you encounter any problems, please email us at info@thelawyourmoneyandyou.com.
Other ways to help: If you cannot offer monetary assistance, we are always looking for guest bloggers to blog about their knowledge and expertise on our website. Or if you have an idea for a topic we should cover on our show, don’t be afraid to send us a message. We are always looking for feedback and new ideas.
Once again, we would like to thank you for all your support. Without our viewers, we wouldn’t be where we are now. After all, our show is about The Law, Your Money, and YOU!
